A Note From Our Editor
I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember, and I started That's What She Said because I know there are hundreds of women at the U with stories worth telling — funny, serious, or somewhere in between. I wanted a place that crosses every major and links us together, not just the ones already writing.
My hope is that this becomes a real one-stop shop: honest reviews, real bylines, real publications you can put on your resume. Every issue is put together by whoever shows up on Sunday, and every pitch gets read. If you've got something to say, I want to hear it.

Our Mission
The stories that don't make the front page anywhere else.
We're a magazine run entirely by undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Utah. Every piece — writing, photography, reviews, reporting — is pitched, made, and edited by students, for students. New stories go up every week, and a full print issue drops each semester.
Our beats cover art, self-care, activism, creative writing, and fun — plus book and restaurant reviews and a running calendar of what's happening on campus. If you're a woman at the U with something to say, there's a place for it here.
We're editorially independent from the university. Every pitch gets a real read, every byline is a real student, and every issue is put together by whoever shows up to masthead meeting on Sunday.
A running scrapbook

How we spend our Sundays
A running scrapbook of masthead meetings, field trips, and whatever's currently pinned to the office wall.

We're always looking for new writers, photographers, and editors.
No experience needed — just bring a story only you could tell.
